Bookstore Orders
Bookstores and other resellers can order our books by using this website’s product page shopping cart, by calling us, or by faxing or emailing us a purchase order (call for email address). Note that each book’s ISBN number can be found on the respective product page of this website.
Prices, Discounts & Availability
Prices and discounts are listed on our Products page. Volume discounts are available to anyone (including resellers) ordering on this website. They are a sliding percentage (0 – 20%) based on the total price of the books ordered and are calculated automatically by the website shopping cart. Resellers can instead opt for the Reseller discount by ordering via phone, fax or email (call for email address). The Reseller discount is a flat 15% off the single unit list price. All prices, discounts and product availability are subject to change without notice.
Books in Electronic or PDF Format
Sorry, but we do not sell or have copies of our books in electronic or PDF format. Our books are available only in paperback.
Annual Subscriptions
Our annual edition books are available in early January of each year and can be purchased by subscription. Creating and managing a subscription is easy:
Creating a subscription. To create an annual subscription, follow these 4 simple steps:
- Create an account in “My Account” and enter your contact & payment information.
- Click on one of these products: Federal Civil Rules Booklet, or the U.S. Bankruptcy Code & Rules Booklet, or the “Combo“
- Choose “Annual subscription,” enter a quantity, and click the green “Sign up now” button.
- Click the “View Cart” button and complete the checkout process.
Managing your subscription. Each November, we will email you a reminder that you have an active subscription and, if necessary, to update your contact information, payment method, and the number & selection of books.
- To update your email address, use the “Account details” link in My Account.
- To update your payment methods & addresses, use the links with those names in My Account.
- To check the number & selection of books in your existing subscription, use the “Orders” link in My Account and review your past orders.
- To change the number & selection of books, simply cancel your existing subscription (using the “Subscriptions” link in My Account) and then create a new subscription (follow steps 2 – 4, above). No worries, your previously entered account, contact & payment information will be saved and you should not need to re-enter it.
Auto renewing your subscription. Subscriptions automatically renew on December 20th of each year. At that time, we will email you a renewal notice and your card will be charged for your subscription products. Your new editions will ship in early January.
Canceling your subscription. Using the “Subscriptions” link in My Account, subscriptions can be canceled at any time.
Payment Terms
New customers may be required to pre-pay until credit is established. Established customers have a NET 30 day open account. For late payment, we reserve the right to assess finance charges at the rate of 1.5 percent per month and to hold, refuse, or require prepayment on orders.
Payment Methods
For website orders, payment is processed through Stripe credit card processing which securely accepts all major credit and debit cards. For non-website orders, we accept payment by check, money order, and most major credit cards. For the latter, we will email you an electronic invoice which you can pay securely on-line. We accept purchase orders from established U.S. based book stores and government agencies.
Sales Tax
For non-exempt customers with shipment to Massachusetts, please add 6.25% Massachusetts sales tax. For orders submitted via our website, this sales tax is added automatically by the website shopping cart.
For exempt customers with shipment to Massachusetts, please provide LegalPub a properly completed Massachusetts Sales Tax Exempt Purchaser Certificate (Form ST-5) signed by the 501(c)(3) organization with a copy of its Form ST-2 attached. Such forms should be submitted with each purchase unless the “Blanket certificate” box in Form ST-5 part 3 is checked. For those ordering via the website, exempt customers may check the “Claim Tax exemption” box on the Checkout page but must followup by sending us the aforementioned forms before completing the purchase. (Call for our email address.)
Shipping
We normally ship the same or next business day from when we receive your order. Website orders automatically receive tracking and status information and a copy of the invoice. For non-website orders, if you provide us with your email address, we will email you the tracking number and a copy of the invoice.
For smaller orders, we ship via USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail (usually 1-5 business days). Larger orders are shipped via UPS Ground (usually 1-5 business days). Transit times are not guaranteed. We charge economical flat rate shipping & handling fees which are listed on our Products page. The following will require additional fees: orders with more than one ship-to address; orders that are reshipped due to carrier delay; orders that are reshipped because the address is expired, incorrect, insufficient or undeliverable; and upgraded shipping service (if offered by LegalPub).
In lieu of our shipping & handling charge, customers with non-website orders may provide us with their UPS collect account number. Be sure to tell us which level of UPS service you would like us to use.
For orders reported by the carrier as “delivered” but which the customer did not receive, the customer should promptly contact the local office of the carrier and a representative of building management and report the delivery as “missing.” For all such orders, the customer must look solely to the carrier and/or building management for any claim or recourse.
Note that we do not accept orders from or ship to locations outside of the United States.
Return Policy
Books ordered from LegalPub may be returned in unmarked and salable condition within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund or credit, less our shipping & handling charge and any credit card merchant fee incurred by LegalPub. For books purchased with customized covers, prior to printing the customer will be provided with a printer’s proof of the cover for review and approval. The customer will not be entitled to a return or refund for any error in the custom cover which was included in the approved proof. For customized books received with other damage or defective condition, remedy is limited to Legalpub’s choice of replacement with new customized books of the same title or a refund of the amount paid to LegalPub for such books.
